Saying "goodbye" to my awesome new friends
This post comes after this post, concerning my cool new friends Mocha and August. I met them through a sticker with a furry on it in a parking lot, and the butterfly effect led me to these two partners who travel together a lot, and, like me, they're mature and wise. We found we get along really well, and as the two started inviting me to various meetups, I came every single time. With their encouragement, I tested the limits of my bubble, and went outside my comfort zone, and found it's not so bad, especially with friends like them. I genuinely felt like I could tell them anything, and I've even let August drive our car! That's an awesome level of trust to have, especially in new friends. And because of them, I learned a lot, some about our physical health, some about my bias toward negativity, some about travel, and some about the way I cultivate relationships. So, after the life-changing road trip in the previous post, I had a few more visits with them. Specifically, we hung out aro

Mocha, August, and the life-changing road trip episode
Today's post is going to be a lot more sentimental and abstract. I want to share with you some experiences that really affected me in a positive way, and maybe they'll do the same for you. I already know I've had a strong impact on a lot of people in my life, but this time, I was the one impacted. The theme I want you to keep in mind is "reaching out", or "expanding your world" so to speak. It all started on August 1st, earlier this year... The sticker I was out shopping, specifically for a new chair, on the belief I held that our current chair in our computer room was causing some of our arm issues (turns out I was wrong). Well, in the parking lot of the Office Depot, there was this light pole, with a bunch of stickers on it. Most were pretty uninteresting - little logos, a meme cat picture, various expressions, a gun sticker, and so on. But one stood out: a sticker with a cute furry design on it, and a QR code. I was so fascinated, I followed the QR code later that day... Sure enough

A "normal" weblog post, for once
Hi all, it's Eir. I've been wanting to write a "normal weblog post" for quite some time, feeling guilty or embarrassed by how many posts on this weblog are just health updates. But I could never come up with a solid topic to write about. I've had this idea floating around that we could write about games again - I have a few thoughts to share on some games, but I also had in mind that Sunny could be the one writing that post. But I'm not sure if Sunny even wants to do that. I might have put that expectation on them by mistake.I think gaming related posts are indeed in the near future, but for now, I want to write a normal weblog post for once. I'm gonna be reflecting on... just how we've been doing, and what our life is like now vs earlier this year, aside from these health things. How this year started My wrists got bad enough to close my Figura commissions last year in October, and that was still in effect. I was relying on my wrist braces heavily, but my main focus was on getting st
